Chassis 9
Information supplied by Jean Paul (AKA Jake) Kennedy .
Jake's OMS is model SF89A, chassis number 9, registered in 1989. The first owner was the late Peter Green it was then sold to John Lambert In 1998. Guernsey hill climber Andrew Rosamond became the next owner in 2002. The engine is a GPZ RX 1000 bored out to 1042cc.
Steve Owen was aware of the car and informed Jake that it had stood around a lot until he(Jake) bought the car in 2010, He entered it as it stood at three events the first being a sprint in Guernsey, "It was raining cats & dogs I didn't have any wets and well a used set of slicks not good for the first time in the car!" But Jake did a but did a pretty respectable time anyway so spurred on he entered the car in the Alderney sprint and hill climb, this is where you can tell time and technology have progressed, as the car has unchanged in the last 21 years putting up against modern cars was always going to be tough and it was!!. So Jake decided that the engine and aerodynamics were too old to compete in this class. The car was brought back into the workshop and plans formed to fit a 600cc engine and other advances including new wings for the car.
The car is currently stripped back to bare metal as Jake found rust under the powder coating. He's got photos of the car in the different stages and is looking at doing a rebuild blog at some point, hopefully on Uphill Racers!

Chassis 63
Information supplied by Steve Marr
The car was built in 1998 by Steve Owen (OMS) for a Celebrity Challenge circuit series – dual driven by Steve and invited celebs. The SF2 appears to be a slightly uprated/strengthened SF model – it has the high chassis side tubes, larger uprights and bigger side-pods to fit the larger radiator and oil cooler (no longer fitted). This chassis also has dual rear wishbone mounting points and extra stiffening gussets fitted around the rear chassis and the front bulkhead area. Originally fitted with a small F3 style dual element rear wing assembly.
The next owner was Robert Wood (dates unknown), then David Banner who had it from early 2002 until the end of 2004 season, using it for sprints and hill climbs in England. (Dave replaced it with another OMS – a 2000M, still fitted with a highly tuned ZZR1100 engine). Robbie Garden was the next owner, using the car in the Scottish Sprint and Hillclimb championships in 05 and 06 (finished 3rd overall if I remember correctly). He bought it complete with a newly built ZZR1100 engine from Extreme Engines. It was then bought by me at the end of 2006. I campaigned it in the Scottish Sprint and Hillclimb Championships (but mainly hill climbs) from 07 through to the end of 2010
Dates:
2002 - Dave Banner
2005 - Robbie garden
2006 - Steve Marr
2011 - Adam Bugeja (Malta)
